i felt compelled to create this blog with the thought of all those who have helped me as i continue my journey of cake decorating. if not for those creative minds who were brave enough to put themselves out there i would not have learned so many wonderful things or been as inspired as i am. i am just starting on my path to greatness! 2009 - Not Without my Handbag

This cake gave me so much grief! I made all the cute little accessories and tissue paper, even monogrammed the makeup cases - and then when I tried to cover the cake with my fondant FAILURE! Oh it was a mess and it made me so incredibly mad!! And then to make matters worse I could not get that frosting to smooth out.

Oh well.

I have since come to realize that putting on a thin layer of frosting and then the fondant works much better! It was still a really fun cake and all the components turned out very cute!
