:: WELCOME ::

i felt compelled to create this blog with the thought of all those who have helped me as i continue my journey of cake decorating. if not for those creative minds who were brave enough to put themselves out there i would not have learned so many wonderful things or been as inspired as i am. i am just starting on my path to greatness! (ha ha!) i hope to document my progress through this blog. give out tips i have learned. make more connections with the decorating world. and perhaps someday give someone a little inspiration myself. so welcome and thank you for stopping by!

I LIKE TO MOVE IT MOVE IT!
My Littlie was lovin' the movie Madagascar when her second birthday rolled around! Her favorite character was Alex so I made a lion cake - I know, it doesn't look like Alex! She still loved it and it's all about the children really! With all those layers of mane there was A LOT of frosting when eating this cake, but for looks I think it works great! I bought one of those edible color spray cans and tried it for the cheeks, it was pretty fun.
But now, years later, I think I prefer the airbrush.

Cute, cute, cute! I've never used an airbrush...are they worth it?

Thanks Jessica! I really like the effect of the airbrush, my skill with them is tiny...so tiny....but you can shade and do all kinds of fund stuff with them! Perhaps someday I can add one to my cake supplies....someday!
