i felt compelled to create this blog with the thought of all those who have helped me as i continue my journey of cake decorating. if not for those creative minds who were brave enough to put themselves out there i would not have learned so many wonderful things or been as inspired as i am. i am just starting on my path to greatness! (ha ha!) i hope to document my progress through this blog. give out tips i have learned. make more connections with the decorating world. and perhaps someday give someone a little inspiration myself. so welcome and thank you for stopping by!

2010 - Retirement





I really debated about posting this cake. There are parts about this cake that I love and parts about this cake that I absolutely hate!  Mostly HATE!  I won’t go into a bunch of excuses for what happened, just know it was a very early work day and a very frustrating cake. The grapes I think turned out great, I love the color and I love the look. The vines are horrible, as is my writing. DARN THAT WRITING – WILL I EVER GET IT LOOKING GOOD? It is such a frustration to me. I cannot stand my own handwriting and I feel it transfers over to my cakes. Yes. This is one baddy of a cake!!!
